Dr. Ken Conner has been more than a blessing to
Covington Theological Seminary, to our faculty, to our staff and to our
students. Dr. Conner has been a joy and a treasure. Those who know him
best love him for his wit, his outgoing and loving manner, and most of
all for his solid commitment to God’s holy Word. He has been strength
and a guide for our school, especially during our foundational years,
where he served ably in several key capacities. Foremost, Dr. Conner was
our Executive Vice President and the developer of many of our key
courses for our distance learning program, especially in our Bible and
theological studies.
We both celebrate and endorse Brother Ken’s work They Captured the Spirit, which pays tribute to the King James Bible for its role and place in the history of our Lord’s church. This chronological history of the course of events leading to the commissioning and subsequent translation of the KJV in 1604 and 1611 A.D., is a stellar work representing a lifetime of study and research from a beloved Bible scholar. Dr. Ken Conner’s labor of love is a strong reminder to each of us who love the Word, that the Authorized King James Version has a “rightful place of honor, higher than just the shelves of great literature and history.
